Can I use a phone socket to directly connect to the internet in another room to the router?

So my sky router/hub is located in the living room and my Xbox is wired directly to it with an Ethernet cable.

I'm looking to somehow also connect my sons Xbox in his bedroom directly to the internet via Ethernet cable as opposed to WiFi as it suffers from lag when on WiFi.

Problem is that it would be a nightmare to get a cable from the router/hub in the living room all the way to his bedroom.

So my question is, as there is a phone socket in every room in the house, am I able to somehow utilise the one in his room to somehow connect directly to the internet?

Thanks in advance.

@J-Stevo The phone socket will be a slave socket and can only be used for phones.

If running a long ethernet cable isn't practical then it may be worth looking at ethernet capable homeplugs, they are extremely easy to use and relatively cheap to buy.

Thanks @daveNOS ,

That's what I feared to be honest.
Do you mean one of those ethernet powerline plugs that basically use your home electrical circuits to send the internet through?
So plug one in by the router and connect it to the router, then plug another one in sons bedroom and then connect that directly to his Xbox?

@J-Stevo Yes, I've used a pair myself for my Xbox for years and they work great, think I only paid around £10 for them off a certain auction site.
