Broadband throughput speed

Hi all,

I have had sky Broadband for a number of years and have always got around 55mbps download speed.

I do not use the sky router for Wi-Fi, I have an eero system for this. Nothing in my set up has changed but a few weeks ago it has been dropping to 37mbps. Despite this the connection to the router is still showing at 64mbps, any ideas why this would suddenly drop? These speeds are measured plugged directly to Ethernet.

Re: Broadband throughput speed

Hi @ChenoJoe

theres another thread called slow broadband in which many of us are having an issue like yours, everyone's is reducing to 38Mbps.

For most of us, if you log into the router, and under connection somewhere you can choose to disconnect from the internet, wait a minute and click reconnect, you will probably find your speeds return to normal...for about 48 hours or so. I'd recommend trying this with an Ethernet cable.

Re: Broadband throughput speed

Thank you that has worked!

Hopefully sky come up with something that's a bit more of a permanent fix.
