I have gigafast broadband am getting 50mbs is this normal

If you are testing over WiFi on a device thats connecting to the 2.4ghz WiFi band then yes its quite normal. If you want gigafast speeds you'll need to use an ethernet cable or invest in a higher spec 3rd party router.
