Broadband not being recognised by Sky

I have broadband with Sky which I've had for a few months now, however, the broadband has proven to be quite slow rarely reaching the speeds that it should along with occasionally cutting out entirely for a few minutes and forcing me to manually reconnect to it on my PC, My first thought was to use the service checker to test the speed however when I go to the service checker it strangely says that my broadband isn't with Sky which isn't true since I'm connected to it even at the moment that I'm writing this, This makes it impossible to seek support through the service checker since it won't even recognise that I'm using Sky broadband at all and won't allow me to test the speed due to it.

@stephanie47 this normally happens because the wrong Sky id was used to log in you have to use the correct Sky id which is linked to your broadband account. If you are confused give Sky a call but they will be busy this morning after the weekend's storms.

If you would like the forum to help, with your spedd question please post your connection stats see  Find your Sky Broadband router statistics

@Danny8sky no idea what "hacking" incident you refer to but there is no known overall issue with Sky's network speed I have experienced or seen reliably reported in the forum caused by a hack. Some users do have speed issues which is inevitable given the technology and number of subscribers but they are not related to a "hack".Sky like BT Retail, Talk Talk etc use the Openreach network switching ISPs to another Openreach ISP means any line problem moves with you.

I did check that but I am certain that the correct Sky ID was used to log in, Oddly enough I can access the very contract for Sky Broadband along with the specific broad package I have purchased yet it still says that my broadband isn't with Sky when I try and use the service checker.
