Whilst streaming or playing only games my broadband keeps dropping out, sometimes as often as 16 times in an hour. The drop outs can last for anywhere between 10 seconds to 2 minutes, and they always seem to be more frequent in the evening.
This problem has been intermittent over the last 18 months since we had fibre (Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1) but has got far worse in the last month or two, to the point it is really frustrating. When it does drop out none of the lights on the Sky router (model CR03 which I've had for many years now) change from green, and by the time I've gone into the app to check the broadband it has reconnected.
I have checked the logs however I don't understand them. What I do see is the "Lease Renewal 3600 ip 2.XXX.XXX.XX" happening very frequently, not sure if this means anything.
I have access to a third party router which would allow me to check the fibre to the house or whether the router is at fault being fairly old, however I believe Sky makes it difficult to do this and can't connnect.
I have restarted and reset my router but nothing changes.
Any help would be appreciated.
