Broadband issues and dropouts

For the last couple of weeks, multiple devices, including 2 different TVs just keep losing connection to the internet. One of the TVs has ethernet cable. My laptop drops out of connection after less than 2 minutes. I have to put the password in then reconnect, 2 minutes later pffft gone again. Literally sat next to the wifi router and still does it. Can't get my Tesla to connect even though it can find it. TV in the living room says connected, I can open apps I can browse the web, soon as I try to stream something it says "not connected to internet", weirdly on the TV with ethernet the only thing that seems to work is netflix, every other app says no internet.

Rang sky, they are sending a booster, but that's obviously not the issue if an ethernet is plugged in. All they say is everything looks ok their end and blame my devices. But 2 tablets, 2 phones, 2 TVs and 2 laptops (not all at the same time) all give the same result. I'd say it's their issue.

Turned 5ghz off and on, I've reset the box by holding down the wps button, I've changed the security to wp2. Still doesn't work. Driving me bonkers. Someone help please

@Woochar try powering down the Sky hub for 60 minutes as there is a possible fault at the server nanaging your connection which fails to route data requests correctly.it is rare but does happen the prolonged restart should force a change in the connection node you get. Sky have over 6 million of these nodes on servers scattered around the country so the odd rogue is almost inevitable.

Re: Broadband issues and dropouts

Hi thanks for the reply. I left it all off unpowered for about 2 hours. I made connection with a few devices once it had come back on, but the TV's both lost their connection one of them was about 20 minutes into a movie and that had ethernet cable plugged in. That couldn't reconnect, but my phone was still connected.

I tried a stability test on a website called pocket stats and it said the stability was "Bad" I have an average ping of 1230 over about an hour. Surely there's an issue with sky and not my devices? Anything else I could try?
