Broadband down but checks say okay

My broadband is down, same thing yesterday. Amber light showing for internet on router. Sky check my connection app saying all is okay but it's not. Tried hard reset and still nothing. This is ridiculous and will likely affect my work today. Is anyone else having the same poor service.

Yes, we are experiencing the same 😞 logged a ticket and said an Engineer could take up to 2-5 days to attend to it :'(

Cannot understand what an engineer will be able to achieve as the problem seems to be happening everywhere. There does not appear to be any communication from Sky about this and they must be aware it is happening. I have run the diagnostics checks multiple times and it keeps telling me that broadband is fine. Very very frustrating.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Brewsters you can check if Sky are aware by running the service checker in the My Sky app or website over a mobile connection if thst doesnt tell you they are aware call them toreport the loss of service.

If there is an area outage as opposed to a fault on your lineOpenreach will be responsible for sorting it which they will do but dont expect anyonecto tell you how long that will take as they simply dont know and wont know until the lines are reconneced., Most faults take a few hours some a few days but in rare cases it can be weeks it all depends on what is involved.
