Broadband activation problem
Hi recieved this text from sky
Hi, It's Sky. We're sorry, there's a problem with your Sky Broadband & Talk order and might be a delay to your activation date. You don't need to do anything at this time, we will call you within the next 24 working hours to discuss further, Thank you.
Still had no phone call and do not see what the problem can be my providder im with ceases tomorrow 8th and sky were taking over from tuesday 9th, now obviously there is an active line and open reach were only out to the property 24th as i moved in as a new tenant and fitted all new equipment, so do not need ann engineer as was established when i signed up for sky broadband i already have sky tv with them, so baffled and nothing has changed when i log in and check account. Like i said this 24hr phone call has never happened go fiqures.

Which would tend to suggest there's a problem somewhere upstream of the address.

Re: Broadband activation problem
@Loopyjupes the database explains what is expected but when you order from Sky they place an order with Openreach whose local teams check against their local knowledge. If as sounds likely this is a new fibre line (the last resident probably had a partial fibre service) there can be issues such as insufficient csble connections, a blocked duct which means the local teams check against knows the one stage fibre install isnt going to manage.
