@SGALL1997

Sky Talk is Sky's own home 'phone service that you can take with any of their broadband deals. The basic Sky Pay As You Talk option is automatically included with all of these but there's another three to choose from if you'd like something more comprehensive. If you don't have a landline, then you wont be charged for any calls.

It's automatically bundled: I don't think there's any element of choice these days (because voice calls either are or soon will be just internet data indistinguishable from any other traffic going over the broadband link).  You'll get a Sky Hub model with a phone socket on the back into which plugs an analogue headset or DECT basestation.

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Are there no longer the different tarrifs:

  • Sky Pay As You Talk
  • Sky Talk Evenings & Weekends Extra
  • Sky Talk Anytime Extra
  • Sky Talk International Extra

@Skull+Treaty

The tiers are still there: I meant there's no choice in getting Sky Talk alongside Sky Broadband, and little over getting Internet Calls except for customers who are assessed as having additional vulnerability which requires retaining an analogue line untill PSTN is switched off.

Good point, well put @TimmyBGood - my old skool knowledge, haven't used a home landline in I don't know how long...and forgetting about the switch off of PSTN
