Bought the £30 super fast broadband package. Got an email saying I will be getting broadband and Sky talk. What is sky talk?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSky Talk is Sky's own home 'phone service that you can take with any of their broadband deals. The basic Sky Pay As You Talk option is automatically included with all of these but there's another three to choose from if you'd like something more comprehensive. If you don't have a landline, then you wont be charged for any calls.

It's automatically bundled: I don't think there's any element of choice these days (because voice calls either are or soon will be just internet data indistinguishable from any other traffic going over the broadband link). You'll get a Sky Hub model with a phone socket on the back into which plugs an analogue headset or DECT basestation.

Are there no longer the different tarrifs:

Find out moreThe tiers are still there: I meant there's no choice in getting Sky Talk alongside Sky Broadband, and little over getting Internet Calls except for customers who are assessed as having additional vulnerability which requires retaining an analogue line untill PSTN is switched off.
