Hi,
I have recently built a garden office, which is within 10m of the house and about 20m from the main hub. I have a sky wifi booster, which I have positioned by the closest wall (about 10m from office), however the wifi is very weak in the office.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to improve the wifi speed in the office? I have read about powerline adaptors, which might work (as the office power runs off the house mains), however I wasn't sure if you needed an additional ethernet port in the office for this to work? In terms of my wiring etc the only ethernet port is at the other end of the house where the main hub is.
Thanks!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@JFR-24 powerline adapters are a normally a good solution of providing internet connectivity to a garden office. One adapter is installed in the same room as the hub plugged into a wall socket and linked to the hub by the ethernet cable which comes in the kit. The second unit is plugged in to a wall socket in the garden room, you can buy units with a wifi access point built-in.

I can recommend the TP-Link TL-WPA4220 KIT,
You get wireless connection, 2 ports of ethernet if you require, really simple to setup and use,
2.4Ghz wireless N speed only, and you may find that the wiring will only allow 100-200Mb/s down
the electric cable any way so why try to force faster.
Use it to get wireless to the Ringdoor bell and garage for wife on treadmill approx same distance
