Booster box already returned via engineer

I've just cancelled broadband fibre with sky  They have sent me a email say that the router needs to be sent back ( which I will do) but also asking for the booster box which was returned via the guy who installed sky q TV he took my HD old box plus the booster which was to connect the HD box to wireless....so surely it would be noted by the engineer that did my upgrade

I even tried to call sky but got no further than the the pre recorded voice system which hung up ..... Has anyone gad this problem or come across this before .

Just as a note to future readers: it's never ideal to let an installer depart with hardware unless this is an unwanted Sky+ / Sky+ HD box (because you own those, and so can dispose of them as you see fit).

Boosters and all Q hardware is loaned by Sky to the subscriber and logged against their account: it's not clear if the Sky logistics system can cope with installer returns.

Just a thought: was that actually a loaned 'booster' (which are white plastic and shaped like Q or Sky Broadband Hubs) or was it a Mini Wifi Connector for an older Sky+ HD box (small/black/square)?

The communication from Sky on returning hardware isn't very well written, and sometimes causes people to assume Sky thinks they have a booster to be returned as well as a Hub.

Only the Sky Q Booster and Sky Broadband Booster, as below, have to be returned.

Re: Booster box already returned via engineer

Actually thinking on that and what you've just said it was the black wi fi connector to go wireless but have now spoken to sky they said there wasn't a booster to return and nothing on my account to say that and just return the hub ...... it just three me off for a bit

But thanks for your input anyway 🙂
