Asus Mesh to be added to Sky router

Hi,

Can someone kindly provide guidance on the optimum set up to connect asus mesh system on sky router  SR203 router to improve WIFI coverage around the house?

Also does sky support Modem mode or need to add them as access point?

@Jay+Roy No Sky hub supports modem mode unfortunately. There are potentially at least three possible ways to add an Asus mesh system. These are 

1. Turning off the wifi on the SR203 and connecting the Asus system to a LAN port on the  SR203 configured as an Access Point.
2. same as 1 but leave the Asus  in router mode which creates a Double NAT which introduces complexities if you run servers etc but for most people can be made to work but you msy hit a few issues.
3. If you have Sky Ultrafast over fibre remove the SR203 completly and connect the Asus unit to the ONT. You will lose Sky's landline in this configuration. If you have a service over copper you can buy a cheap router with a modem mode like the TP-Link TD-W9970 and use that to connect to the line

You lose your Sky landline in option 3 if that connects to your Sky hub. There are pros and cons to each which change according to what you plan to use your network for, the product you buy from Sky, whether you are in the UK or ireland and of course how comfortable you are in sorting tech kit.
