Apple Macbook Pro issues logging in using Sky broadband
This is so weird. I have been having problems logging into my Macbook Pro, I have Internet connection but Apple have advised me there is an issue between Apple and Sky which is preventing Apple users logging on to their device.

Re: Apple Macbook Pro issues logging in using Sky broadband
I have forgotten my log in details and although I am connected to the Internet, Apple tell me there is currently an issue with Apple users using Sky broadband. It just doesn't make sense to me. Internet connection is required for recovery

@Jules9906 Your other choice is to take it to a apple store and they will sort it out for you! connecting the mac book to the Internet for recovery via sky should not be a problem at all, Apple will not remote reset your system but you may wish to look at Tenorshare software to see if it can work for you!

@Jules9906 As a side issue to your Mac on the Sky network you should go to your account, logon and take a look at the Broadband Shield settings that are applied!

Re: Apple Macbook Pro issues logging in using Sky broadband
@Jules9906 as anApple user myself who had to reset my Apple id on Friday using a Sky connection which I did with no issues I think Apple support were using one of the more inventive excuses when you called them. Given out of Sky's 6 million broadband customers there will be a very high number of people with Macs etc if there was an issue you would see many more reports in this forum.

Re: Apple Macbook Pro issues logging in using Sky broadband
It's seems odd, but it only occurs when you're first signing in a device to an Apple ID, either during setup, or once the device has been setup and trying to add the iCloud account later. So generally day to day most people wouldn't even notice. I had issues with a new device last week that utterly refused to verify to Apple connected directly to the Sky hub, it worked OK with my non Sky mesh even though this still used the Sky connection. Another device today just refused even via my mesh, but because I'd already hit the issue last week, I just hotspotted to my phone, connected the device to the Apple account, then dropped it back on the mesh and everything else works fine. I do Apple support, so its the kind of issue I suddenly notice more, hence here wondering am I alone in the issue, but clearly not...
