Appalling broadband speeds

I have the Max  router which is in the open in the centre of the house, so not obstructed in any way. AND YET- right now, I literally have an upload speed of 2 Mbps !!!!

This i s beyond ridiculous!! I ran the WiFi checker and it actually tells me that everything seems fine with the connection. NO, mate- everything is NOT fine with the damned connection when I can't even downsload a flipping email because I'm only on 2 MBSP !!!!!

What is damn point of a max router and a minimum speed guarantee if this is all we get? 

I've unplugged and restarted the damn router endless times and still nothing. What the hell am I paying sky for??

what do I do with this joke of a broadband connection?
