Alternative Setup for FTTC

Hi All,

Looking for a bit of specific advice and recommendations for my own setup after reading through various other discussions that are on these forums that have helped my thoughts so far.

My connection is currently FTTC, and I have Sky Q, with mulitple Sky Mini's throughout the house. I'm moving to Sky Superfast in the next few days, but wanting to upgrade my router in the near future. From what I've read, the the ASUS RT-AX range are strong contenders, and seem to offer the functionality I'm after. I believe I will require a modem, such as the TP Link TD W9970 with the ASUS router(s)?

But then, I'm not sure if I should expect any issues with Sky Q with the new setup? Are there any other recommendations that are better suited to Sky Q, or my own setup?

Happy to take advice on an easier/better setup if anyone has any thoughts or comments on this.

Any help and recommendations are appreciated,

Thanks!

Hi @JimmyC259

Replacing your Sky hub with an Asus router should not cause any issues with your Sky Q system.

And yes you are correct you'll need a modem until you can get FTTP
