About the specific time period for activating broadband

Today is the date to activate broadband and I have my sky hub installed waiting to be activated. It's already 3.30pm and sky says until midnight. Will it really be activated at night? What time of day do you all get activated?

@doublelj  Remote activations can be anytime during the day by Openreach, however Sky's own system doesn't update until midnight.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Hi @doublelj 

As mentioned by @GD1 the physical activation of your line at the cab/exchange is done by Openreach during working hours. However Sky's systems often dont update until midnight so until that happens you likely wont get any data flowing on your line.

Thanks for the reply, I don't have broadband yet, Internet light is off. Does this mean that Openreach is not activeted yet, or is it that Openreach actived  just that I won't have internet until sky updates the system?

Hard to say really it could be either. You'll need to just wait until midnight. If it doesnt work after that then phone Sky in the morning.
