3rd party Gaming Router not finding WAN IP

Hi guys

I have been pulling my hair out these past few days. i bought a Asus AX300 Gaming router, i have searched high and low on these forums to find the correct answers, i have enabled the DCHP (option 6) to anythingskydsl|anything and its not finding the WAN IP. i have restarted the router and the ONT left both unplugged all day today as i was out, turned the ONT back on then the router and its still not finding the WAN IP. 

The strange thing is i have 2 devices that are are hardwired (PC and PS5) and i can get a internet connection on 1 of them. 

i did phone sky up today to see to see if they was a block on line for using 3rd party routers, the person told me to phone to openreach. as its there issues and not skys. 

i have been going round in circles now and im stuck. im hoping someone can help to why its not connecting. 

I have a wire striaght from the ONT box to the blue WAN port on the router.

Been a while since I was a Sky customer, but I seem to recall that's DHCP option 61, not 6.

yeah that might be me with forgetting. im 99% sure iv put it in the right place and iv seen videos and screenshots etc

I would unplug the ethernet cable and then factory reset the Asus router, once it's finished, turn off the ONT and the router for 30 minutes and then boot up the ONT & the router (without connecting them yet). Once everything is settled, connect the ethernet cable. Asus routers generally automatically connect on Sky BB.
