Morning everyone,
my nearly 17 year old son is some how overriding the wifi timings on the parental control settings so he can have longer on the Xbox!
Is there anyway I can stop him from doing this? These teenagers are too smart these days but it's very annoying and I don't know what to do! I've looked in the app and there's nothing in the settings that I can change!
Help!

Look, he's 16, just disconnect him from yours tell him to pay for his own.
OR
you can turn it off when he's not allowed it because I can't see how someone can override settings on your Sky account.

He's under 16 your suggestion is not helpful. Perhaps you should try scrolling past if you have nothing useful to say.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Zanoojj a completely kid proof parental control has yet to be invented. The controls built into the Sky WiFi Max bundle are pretty good as they dont appear to rely on the devices mac address which is trivially easy to get round however I suspect somebody has done so. Easiest way is to hack any controls by using your pasword in the app but you can see that. Keeping passwords private is essential.
Using only kids accounts works for younger kids Micrsoft, Google and Apple all have quite good controls. My grand daughter is 10 and her mum is a high level tech pro but she is finding it challenging and the kid is actually very well behaved.
Physically unplugging the hub and removing to power lead usually works but may not be convenient.

What I'm finding is they are changing the times, so comes back on a minute after going off.

Have you tried changing the password to the app and sky.com so they can't get in and remove additional profiles from the account?

Yes, although it's not guessable we tried this first.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Zanoojj given its controled through the app have you given her a Sky ID? If you have and there are two types of secondary ids one of which could change settings as explained here https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Online-Apps-Email/Need-help-with-your-Sky-iD/ba-p/3645384 as account holder you can delete a secondary id otherwise its being dione via you id.

No they don't have access to sky app. It's set correctly in the morning to come back on at 6:30 am, but before bed it changes the wake up time to 1 minute after the shut down.
