New Sky Broadband Hub login hack!

Got a new Sky Broadband Hub, but don't want the hassle of a new name and password?

Check you're connected to your Sky Broadband, then:

  1. In a browser address bar, go to 192.168.0.1
  2. Select Wireless or WiFi.
  3. Enter the default username admin
  4. And depending on which hub you have, the password sky or the WiFi password on the back of your hub.
    • If these don’t work, follow the Resetting your WiFi password steps below then try again.
  5. Enter your 'Network Key' – that’s the WiFi password you want to use. Here, you can use the password from your old Sky Hub!
  6. Select Apply to save your new password.

Your devices will automatically log back into the wifi. Don’t forget about smart home devices like thermostats and any Sky boxes.

Wi-Fi QR Codes

There are 3rd party websites where you can create a WIFI QR code. You can then print it off and stick to your Hub and house visitors can simply scan the picture and boom! Logged in!

Without the hassle of entering the complex codes, the free site I’ve used for my home QR is https://www.qr-code-generator.com/solutions/wifi-qr-code/.

Hii I ordered broadband but didn't come yet so please tell me when will be arriving

I'm sorry I'm very slow, I've attempted this multiple times and still can't do it. When it says username admin? Is that actually type admin? Is it your name on your sky account? Is it the name of your sky hub? I know the password is your wifi password when you have the hub but what am I typing above this?

Hi,

this procedure doesn't appear to be working as the login fails. Are the userid & pwd given in this article correct?

Hi, my broadband is all connected now but I have another issue, when I type 192.168.0.1 in the search bar it takes me to virgin media not sky, does anyone know why?.

@Mattyboii1998

I am having the same issue here. Wifi and internet with ethernet cable very sloe or not working at all.  I'm getting "Sign in to view or modify your Hub 3.0 settings"

Thanks this helped me so much...... just typed in admin as my username and the password was the same as on the back of my router . A++++

Just a quick question, when you get a new router IE say you,ve just rejoined sky (like myself)  is it advisable to change router password etc.

I never did before but that was years ago today is a differewnt world people always trying to hack and rip you off etc.

Hi dear my broadband not working
