Hi @hollzoe   Does the programme description show [S] for subtitles? If not then there are no subtitles included with the programme.

Re: subtitles

@hollzoe

Go to the iPlayer app and watch it on there instead.

This gives false confidence it may only be adverts that have subtitles.

Re: subtitles

I find dialogue hard to hear nowadays, so I have subtitles on most of the time. I find that 20-30% of recorded programs don't have them though. So it's best to use Catch Up if possible.

Hi @bob1234  In my many decades with Sky, that is a new one for me. Have you got an example?

Edit: Just realised, BBC does not have adverts!

@MightyQuinnNot at the moment, my dish is not working and waiting for, almost patiently, for Sky to fix it.

I will post when I get an example.

Hi @bob1234   Just make sure that it is a BBC example.

Re: subtitles

I use subtitles a lot and find programmes on most popular channels usually have subtitles. There are very occasional blips when they're not available due to technical reasons though, this might have been one of those.

I do have one personal irritation though and that is that UHD downloads rarely if ever have subtitling. Can't understand why not.

Re: subtitles

@Tomthecatty  - I was watching a recording of Last Week Tonight on Sky Atlantic last night and it didn't have any subtitles. The live show does, of course.
