moving home but want to leave landline number for family who will remain at property

hi there,

i recently got Sky Broadband and Talk installed after having Sky Q for a few years now. I am moving house soon and will be taking my subscription with me (have not started the Move Home process yet), but my parents will remain in the current property and i want to ensure they keep the landline number as it is theres for the better part of 30 or 40 years.

how can i ensure the landline number stays with this property, they will be getting new sky tv and broadband with talk package as well. do i need to get the tv, BB and talk ordered first before i do my home move process? i remember reading something about taking over an active line and the landline number. any help would be appreciated

I think you would need to speak to Sky support first and ask them if it is possible that you cancel the account that they could sign up again at the same address but having the same phone number. If for any reason they say it isn't then the only way would be to keep things as they are this address with you being the account holder and then you signing up as a new customer at your new property.
