Wrong local news on Sky+. New Sky+ box, postcode correct. Help!
We moved from Guernsey to Scottish Borders and got a new Sky+ box when we moved in. The postcode is correct, but our TV is still showing Channel Island news and weather. A Sky engineer we spoke to said something might need changing at Sky supply end but we have had no joy trying to make contact

Re: Wrong local news on Sky+. New Sky+ box, postcode correct. Help!
If you have a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk landline phone then you can call Sky for free via the 150 number. Or under "Need more help ?" at the bottom this page is the number to call:
Just ignore the messages at the start of the call and remain on the line for as long as you can and don't hang up when asked to do so.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: Wrong local news on Sky+. New Sky+ box, postcode correct. Help!
@caesarome - we can't thank you enough for your tip about just holding on the phone line till a person answers. I can't count the number of times we've got stuck in a loop or just thrown out of the automated system. We finally spoke to a real person today, albeit somewhere in India, after holding for just a few minutes, and it took an hour of patient work at his end to sort the problem out once and for all. He struggled because it was the first time this issue had ever cropped up, confirming what our Sky engineer had suggested that it wasn't something that should have occurred in the first place! And he sorted out an annoying login problem we've had ever since we moved.
And to apologise for the inconvenience this poor chap has upgraded us to a new Sky Q box + enhanced package for no extra charge. What a result!
