I'm upgrading to a new Sky Q box. Will the engineer be able to use the existing cables from the wall sockets to my current Sky+HD box?

Usually there is no need to replace any cables.
They do change the electronic bit on the dish (LNB) to be suitable for SKY Q but they connect it to the existing cables unless there are problems.
