It might be worth going to Google Apps/settings and switching off Auto Apps Updates, as the next time you use Sky Go the Codec14 error reappears. It's a faff but avoids having to reload the app

We noted many of you have found that rolling-back to previous versions of the app is a workaround, but we must advise against it as rollbacks are not supported.  We're still working on a permanent fix and we'll notify you as soon as we find it.

All of us are oaying a hefty premium for something that hasnt worked for over a year....what are Sky proposing to do about that?....havent seen any mention of refunds etc !!!....and also still no proper fix after a very long period of time....

Sky do not advise using rollbacks but have no alternative other than wait for years !!.

Have just updated my phone from Huawri p8 ti the p20 lite and now no longer have a code 14 ,problem. Am advised the reason could be that my new phone does automatic software updates. 

However istill believe it is a Sky problem and they are not that keen throwing resources at ir to fix. Needs more complaints and possible threats of leaving Sky and they may get the message

I have a solution to the problem, after 20 odd years as a loyal customer now parting with £140 a month it's time to say bye bye to Sky.

Just updated Sky go to Version PR17.3.6.1-1100 and so far Error 14 has not been present, fingers crossed it's fixed.

just installed sky go app on my lenovo tablet so it must be the latest version but i also keep getting error 14.

I had the same problem with my Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 tablet it worked perfectly up until then, in the end I gave up and deleted the app and installed it on a newer Samsung tablet.

This has been going on for years. Fix this. Now. I'm still getting errors. 

What's the point in paying for the exorbitant costs?
