Re: Technomatic UHF digital modulator for Sky Q box

For now I've cancelled my skyQ order and will stick with the current setup which is working as we want it.
Seems a lot of expense to only have a box which ony really enables me to record more channels at once.I already have Netflix/prime/Disney+ anyway, so don't think I can justify the expense on buying extra hardware to get my main skyQ box displaying on 2 other TVs, when it's already working now with my current setup.
do you think I made the right decision in cancellation the install of SkyQ?
thanks,
Alex
Only you can know if it is the right decision but if you like what you have why change.

Re: Technomatic UHF digital modulator for Sky Q box
Guys, I have also just purchased a Technomate and it works very well. My latest unit does run at 4k and the TV confirms that when on channel 800. In fact, the Q box will also output 8k but this turns up on the DTV as 4k. 1080p. On Samsung I did note that auto-size doesn't work with the unit, I needed to set the TV to 16:9 to make it fill the screen. Does anyone else see this?

Re: Technomatic UHF digital modulator for Sky Q box
Hi@M100pgc
Many thanks for your detailed review, I've been tottering on the brink of changing from Sky+ to SkyQ for a while, a reasonable offer at renewal time has just tipped the balance I'm getting 2TB with 1 mini box, we effectively watch TV in 3 main rooms but currently have signal around the house. If the Q mini works well I'll probably just get another Mini box, if we get connectivity issues (as seems to be quite common) I'll get the techno mate.
Your posts have confirmed what I thought & are most reassuring.
Cheers, Steve
