Soundbox unavailable

Hi,

I'm trying to purchase a soundbox. I have tried to order through the website and when I try and go to the page it just says 'an error has occured' when loading the page. I have tried going through the Sky Q > My account > shop, but there is nothing there. I can't get through on live chat and I've been on hold for over 40 minutes and have given up. Any ideas how I can purchase?

Sorry to say that Sky have run out of stock with no plans to have any more made 🙁

Neither have they announced any plans for a mk 2 

There are a few around on reseller sites but of course you would buy those at your own risk

Oh no! Gutted!

I was going to buy one but before Xmas by decided to save the money until after, wish I would have just got it now!

I've not heard much about the reasons behind the decision - my own guess would be that there wasn't much profit in them when selling below £200 and several people have said the lack of a built in ARC was a bit off putting (no ARC means you have to use an optical cable for TV apps and 3rd party devices)

No ARC, no Atmos, an unusual form-factor* and a pseudo-surround system no-one else has even tried.  A bold attempt, but possibly just a bit too much of a stretch.

*remember the TV on a plinth in the launch pics so its remote worked?
