Sky recordings on multiple boxes

We have just received 3 SKY boxes, 1 for our main room downstairs and we have 2 others mini boxes upstairs in separate rooms, for some reason all of our recordings seem to go to all boxes, instead of them going to the individual box we record on. For example, match of the day recorded on the downstairs box is now appearing on both boxes upstairs, can this be changed?

No @JohnP1992 That's how Sky Q works I'm afraid. Only the main box has a hard drive and all recordings are recorded on that but viewable/playable on all your boxes.

hi @JohnP1992 as @Daniel0210 says, all recordings are made & stored on the Main box

All recordings are then available on all boxes irrespective of where they were initiated., the only exception are 4K/UHD recordings as only the main box can play them.

Also there is no implementation of User profiles so the recordings cannot be separated / identified etc.

The minis, whilst they are totally independent, effectively just act as Media clients to the SKY Main box

There was talk of the possiblity of implementing profiles at some point 2-3 years ago but the pandemic and major audio problems with the V3 boxes, and to a lesser extent with the V2 boxes, probabaly shelved it.
