Sky q mini box wont come on

My sky q mini box won't switch on. Red light comes on then goes. Ive reset for 5-7 seconds as per previous posts.  Red light then comes on , I've left it for several minutes as per instructions and pressed the home button on the remote but nothing happens, mo green light,  just stays red. I've checked my main q box and all modes are correct. Do i need a new mini box, had it less than  a week !

First thing to try is always to fully reboot the main Q box (remove and replace power) and only then do the same with the Mini box.
