Sky q box won’t accept WiFi password

my sky q box won't accept my now tv WiFi password when everything else in my house has connected with the same password, I've even tried to disconnect stuff and reconnected to check password all ok

Are you trying to connect by a Network reset in the main Q box ?

Hi I'm not sure i did have to reset the network as I was having problem but I've gone through everything in the setting and nothing working It won't accept the password no Matter what I do

Are you on Sky Broadband?

If not have you seperated out your routers 2.4G and 5G and given them unique SSIDs 

are you definitely trying to connect to the 2.4G SSID

I'm afraid not my router and box too far apart unless I order a massive cable but that seems silly when my box was connected before

That may be the problem then.  It may be your Sky Q box isn't getting a strong enough signal for it to be able to connect properly.

You could try changing the 2.4G channel number on the router and see if that helps.

Hi I've try moving the router closer to the sky q box and I've tried changing the channel number still nothings working the only thing I haven't done is plugged it in with Ethernet cable as don't have one

Hi, I had the same issue.

My solution was to ask it to connect as a Sky Router and use the WPS button.

Do not use router from another provider if you have Now Broadband. 

If you have sorted this yet, I hope this helps.

• Look up Powerline Adapters - it's ethernet and mains wiring combination to carry the data.
