I'm so frustrated and disappointed with my sky glass. Drives me nuts that it doesn't record... which wasn't clear when i signed up... so I can't record things like the news at 10 anymore and watch later. Too many good bits of Q are gone.
Had issues with the picture possibly due to wifi connection but my wifi is really good.
The whole playlist thing is very clunky... having to scroll all the way to the end to veiw all is just daft.
My other half hates it because it is too clunky, nowhere near as good as what we had before with sky Q.
Really has gone backwards and the whole home screen and play list needs to be a lot more user friendly.
Oh and having to do sky store on a seperate device is also silly.
Anyone thinking of getting it I'd wait because Q was a whole lot better.
Hopefully things improve soon.

I haven't watched a scheduled news programme in forever. Sky news 24/7. If that's not for you, bbc news channel is available too.
You don't seem the target customer for Glass... Streaming rather than recording.
Until sky gets rights to cloud record ITV, channel 4, and BBC then you're going to be stuck without access to certain programmes after they've been aired.

I agree sky Q much better had it 5 weeks now.want to go back to sky Q but sky not letting me.I also don't understand about sky store it there app so why it taking so long.I think it's a rights issue with movies and you can't even watch a rented movie on sky glass.

Sky glass was never advertised as a replacement for q or in fact a recording facility.
Just wonder why you didn't research it or go to a sky store if possible. Glass is not for everyone and lots of issues raised on here. Personally I have had some issues all resolved also tv is not used as a main tv. I have 4 pucks. If you make a major purchase you must research. I would have thought if you were buying a new car you would want to see it and est drive it. Please don't take this as criticism but an observation.

Sorry it's late. You can record and it goes to your playlist.

I think it would be safe to assume the new thing will be better than the old thing. I did lots of research bit it wasn't clear.

@LeighEccles Sorry to say it's never safe to assume anything. Totally different set up to Q. That's different to all the different issues associated with glass and I can understand that. Glass works for me because I had 4 mini boxes and could only access 2 at any time also kept losing connectivity. Of course you have the option to return within 31 days. I know that on here a lot have been returned but then a lot have not. As far as storage capacity my wife had 100s of programs recorded and never watched.

It doesn't record. It cannot record. That is the whole point of it.
But rather like their continued abuse of the term "Box-Set," Sky's pre-publicity definitely mentioned the word 'recording(s)' and was as such misleading.

It does record to the cloud when you add to the playlist when it works.

It "records" your bookmark of the link to stream that show so long as it is available.
It does not put a recording of your show into personal cloud storage for you.

Hello All , Maybe the 'Old Saying' Better the devil you know is appropriate regarding Glass it's a New Concept & as far as I know nobody else is offering this sort of system .
I looked at the TV at our local shopping mall & decided it was not for Me I have always been very satisfied with SkyQ apart from the Cost & the loss of the reminder tab we had with HD+ and as I have my Qbox hooked up to a 2year old 50 inch panasonic 4k television I am not looking to change anytime soon .
With all new technology there is always a downside just because it's new doesn't make it better , that's why I believe it is wise to let in run for a while before making a purchase you could come to regret .
Just a Thought ...............🕷

It has for me and others have noted "recorded shows" , it always records googlebox for me , then I end up with 2 versions , one to the cloud recording and one to the on demand version.

Was the same for us, we were recording stuff for the sake it , kinda like, well that's what we have always done, so let's carry on.
tbh after spending a month with glass, and streaming is just the norm for our family, recording to a box is feeling a tad out of date.......

@korky200 @At least you had a look then decided. This is what people need to do.

Hello Silverfox 8, I did have a really good look at the three (3) unit's that were on show apart from being naturally interested we do need a replacement for the bedroom after the one we had being loaned (permanently no doubt ) to our daughter who doesn't seem to understand the concept of Return 😂 !!! Bless Her.
Although they were colourful they were not cosmetically pleasing I dont know of anyone that has purchased one yet but from what I undersand sales are reasonable rather like the soundbox only time will tell .
I do encourage anyone contemplating purchasing one to do your 'Homework' first to avoid being disappointed.
Just a Thought ..........🕷
