Hi all,
Yeaterday our Wi-Fi range suddenly kept dropping, meaning our iPhones, iPad, and sky Q box couldn't connect.
When moving closer to the router, my phone would connect no problem and have a strong signal, however walking back to the living room, it would drop again without even showing a weak signal.
This hasn't been a problem ever before, all devices connect without fail all over the house. We haven't moved the router or had anything done to the house so can't figure out what is causing it. Any help is appreciated!

If you're not showing a low wifi signal it would usually mean that someone's 2.4ghz wifi is interfering with yours. I live in flats with the same issue and use Analiti to guage what ssids are interfering and then change my own 2.4ghz channel manually

Thanks for the response Cookiemonsteruk. The Wi-Fi has suddenly started working normally again this morning, could it still be the issue you mentioned or something else?
thanks again,

Can you post your router stats to rule out a line fault or REIN or SHINE interference between the cabinet and your house

But if it just wifi its likely as i mentioned. Other internal appliance that can interfere are zigbee, microwave ovens, baby monitors and bluetooth.

Ok fttp connection , no line speed or noise margin available. However 13 hours ago the router reset itself or was reset by you. Would this co incide with your wifi issues?
Did you reset the router?
Did any of the router lights go off?

Yes we tried resetting a few times during the afternoon, none of the lights went off on their own, and the wifi had a strong signal when we were close to the router. We reset before going to bed and it was working this morning, however wanted to make sure it wasn't an ongoing problem, or if there was something I could do to sort.
Thanks

When a neighbours 2.4 ghz interferes with your own one or other or both wifi can go down for a few seconds whilst they swap to a different wifi channel. Try Analiti for ios that way your can swap to a channel manually so it doesn't interfere. Each 2.4ghz wifi channel can actually occupy 3-4 other channels therefore someone on channel 6 may actually interfere with channels 4-7 of yours.

Just noticed on my analiti "channels" tab someone 2 floors above is on the same channel so both my mobile devices have actually switched to 5ghz to escape the interference. They are normally forced to the 2.4ghz band. For me switching to 5ghz is not too bad as its a small flat but in a larger house switching to 5ghz would be a problem as the range is not as good
