Hi
Everytime we try to record or download certain shows we get a message on screen saying "up grade to HD to watch Ray Donovan" for example . I have managed to download things in SD but its not easy and doesn't always work . I've been on settings and changed the default record/download format to SD but no difference . Is it a way of forcing you to pay for HD ? If so this should be pointed out to custommers before they buy Sky Q .

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreFrom what I can see, Ray Donovan is only available for download, and I checked and all episodes appears to be available in SD. You can also use the "All formats" option to select SD/HD/UHD.

A bit more detail on what happens , if we go to Ray Donovan anywhere (boxsets , catch-up etc ) and push select on an episode the option of "all formats" isn't there and the message about upgrading to HD appears . The only way we can continue with a series is to watch an episode , wait until it ends and when the next episode appears in a small screen below i can click on that and the optionto change the format to SD appears and it downloads . I hate SKY Q i want my old Sky box back ha ha .
