Sky Q and Mini Box Issues
Recently we have started have issues with both the Sky Q and mini boxes, it seems to have started since the recent software update.
The Sky Q box is regularly freezing, stopping on recordings, not allowing fast forward of recorded programmes, sound cutting in and out and very slow changing of channels (as much as 3 minutes sometimes).
The mini boxes are also suffering with the same issues.
Generally this seems to be when the Sky Q box is being used at the same time as a mini box.
Reluctantly (lost all recorded shows/films) reset the hard drive with no success.
The boxes date back to spring 2016 when Sky Q was released, do I need a new main box?
Any help would be greatly received, as it is doing my head at the moment and I feel we are not getting value for money from our system due to not being able to use in multiple rooms.

@Iomseagull sounds like your main Q box is beginning to fail while not related to the new firmware boxes do tend to fail after an upgrade as there is some activity that can push them over the edge. Hard disc issues would give the symptoms you report.

Hi, I am having exactly the same problem with the skyq box and mini boxes. Can I arrange for a new box. Paying a lot of money for the service and virtually nothing is working properly. Connection lost on and off with mini boxes, changing channels takes far too long, recordings are failing, or saying software issues, sound disappears, fast forwarding stalls, deleting recordings problematic. Have done basic reset to no avail and software up to date.
