Re: Sky HDR
I have had Apple TV for a few years so I get plenty of HDR and Dolby vision I am merely posting to hightlight that sky are miles behind the rest in standards, and it's sky that costs me the most money per month,if it wasn't the fact that I'm a sports lover I would leave sky tomorrow, sky have been on about bringing HDR to their platform for around 2 years now yet they still haven't got round to changing loyal customers boxes,if you don't shout out you would never get, particularly with sky.

@da1e7150 Didn't you say " What I have or do is irrelevant " but since you asked my home town has been playing your home town since September 1924 last game was 7 March 2020 seeing as my posts make no sense don't really expect a reply

Re: Sky HDR
I have to be honest I haven't read through all the 118 pages so I am sure this has been covered elsewhere but its my biog complaint. Sky support not being able to say I don't know I will find out for you as opposed to making up an answer. In my experience of customer service and I have quite a bit, it is always far better to be honest and say I don't know as opposed to lying. I was told 2 untruths as far as I can work out, firstly the sky announcement is wrong and that all 2tb boxes support HDR the telephone support engineer told me the website was wrong and he was going to contact them and tell them to change it. I was also told the update was a software upgrade that would be downloaded, no need for new hardware both from the same engineer it was a long and drawn out contradictory conversation as you can see. At a twitter exchange with a support person, saying that engineers carry the v1 one boxes and still install those as new boxes, I am not sure if that's true I find it hard to believe and there are plenty of posts that contradict that statement , including people claiming HDD failures and engineers arriving with replacement undated boxes. Primarily its simple, be honest, communicate and reward loyalty and threads like this wouldnt exist.

Re: Sky HDR
@rogon , I did not see anything in the launch literature last week about the 1.5 million plus v1 box subscribers cannot watch. I watched in HD and the programmes were poor. Get Disney+ via your smart tv app and watch HDR

Re: Sky HDR
@Paulonthetelly if that works, due to covid 19 Disney decided to throttle the bandwidth. Unnecessarily in my opinion. Waiting patiently for it to come back. However I've discovered on the Xbox one s there's 12 bit setting and it makes everything better, even though my telly can't do HDR.

Re: Sky HDR
@Rhonny , a complete failure then judging by your stats. Believe in better .... well at least the 1.5 million subscribers should because they are not going to experience HLG via Sky anytime soon

Re: Sky HDR
Well I had a version V3 2 TB box installed, and the number on the box and the hard drive size with downloads and calculations matches a 2 TB. Unit. Sometimes the people at the other on the phone are not always as clued up as they should be, in fact some didn't even realise when I was having my issues that there was a v3 box.

Re: Sky HDR
Seriously? How can you not see the stats in my post were entirely invented??! Seems you completely missed the point, which beautifully illustrates the last bullet point...

@Rhonny , I expected better of you but thinking about it perhaps not. Fake posts is as good as fake news. Well done

Re: Sky HDR
My contact is due up at the end of July. A new box which is HDR compatible has to be part of the deal.

Your contract is what you can negotiate, good luck.
