Re: Sky HDR
Did you change the x.xx. to your own IP address?
"hdrCapable" : false
Younshould see a long list of text, with the above if your box isn't compatible.

Re: Sky HDR
You need to enter the IP of your box in the address bar in your browser, replacing the xxx though.
Example below, replace 1.45 with your own IP address from settings.

Re: Sky HDR
You enter the IP address of your main Sky box, which is under Settings, Setup, Network, Advanced, , exactly as typed above, not your router IP though.

Re: Sky HDR
All that page tells you is that HDR isn't enabled. Not whether it's supported or not.
Sky will transmit an enabling signal to your viewing card on/before the 27th which will then allow you to view HDR content.

Re: Sky HDR
Hi @Aiden.
To the best of my knowledge - all this tells you is if HDR is activated on your box as opposed to your box being capable. Apologies if you are a qualified engineer and I'm wrong 🙂
but I don't think I am.

Re: Sky HDR
Arghhh, I had 2 V2 boxes but they started playing up with my LG TV. I'd turn sky on but nothing would come on my.tv, it would just stay blank.
So they give me a version 1 box with no power block. Guess I'll be waiting for this. My contact ends in less than 30 days. So maybe I have some bargaining power behind me haha. 👍🏻👍🏻

Re: Sky HDR
Excited to see the roll out of HDR. Not so excited to see that I may be the proud "renter" of an inferior piece of Sky hardware which will offer me none of the benefits but the same subscription costs as Joe Bloggs down the road.
Should this information prove true then my UHD subscription is gone for the foreseeable until Sky treat all paying customers the same. I get the COVID delay, but why then go ahead with the roll out which is going to do nothing but annoy longstanding, early adopter customers.

Re: Sky HDR
If v1 boxes aren't supported. It'll be a good use of the 'not owning boxes' thing.
Although not in the millions I imagine there being hundreds if not thousands of subscribers who subscribe to UHD and in theory should have boxes swapped.
That'll be a nightmare, esp. if main Q boxes can't be self installed.
We have a v1 box, but also our main TV although 4K is not HDR so we won't be in a rush. I know HDR when done right is amazing, but it's not like the 4K/HD is bad. The way some people are talking you'd think TV was unwatchable.
Most content won't be in it anyway. Until the BBC broadcast Doctor Who, Casualty & Holby City in 4K/HDR I won't be able to get a new TV past the missus 😉
