Re: Sky HDR

@PBS83 I do not need to be told about HDR ..What box are you using if it's a V1 and you prepared to wait for an unspecified amount of time to get HDR good on you .. but myself i want what others are getting, i am not asking for more just the same , and if Sky are not willing to allow that , then let me out of my contract with no cost to myself and i will get VM for my tv watching.

Re: Sky HDR

@Rhonny Right so another tv that can do HDR10 but  not HLG .. i take it these tv's predate 2016 .. as i had a LGB6 then and was able to watch the WC in HLG via the BBCIPLAYER.

And well within your rights to want the same too and Sky are willing to allow that.

What they're not willing to do is to unnecessarily risk the health of their employees at this precise moment in time. When it comes down to a choice of ensuring their employees are protected or Joe Bloggs being unhappy that he doesn't have HDR content for another few months, I'm fairly sure Joe Bloggs will survive in the grand scheme of things.

We're not talking about an elderly, vulnerable, person being left with no access to any TV whatsoever - we're talking a luxury add-on that is not a life or death issue. The well-being of their staff might be.

Re: Sky HDR

If you really want to know if your q box will do hdr. Donwload one of the programmes that was listed  and find out. The box will automatically switch your tv to hdr. It's in the catch up system already.

Thanks for the heads up.

Just tried Episode 1 of Gangs of Lemur on my V2 Sky Q box
It is showing as HDR = Yes in the TV settings on my Hisense TV for what is onscreen and also that it is HDR HLG..
It sure is as the PQ so far looks excellent.

Re: Sky HDR

V1 2tb box here. Gangs of Lemur looks good but it's not in HDR unfortunately. So unless the box is due an update overnight, it's not looking hopeful for v1 2tb owners...

Re: Sky HDR

Enjoy would be good if the Sky Apps were updated to include View in UHD/HDR instead of just HD

Re: Sky HDR

@Daniel-UK

They'd still not be as good as watching via your TV apps because of the frame rate judder.

Re: Sky HDR

yer i know that, what i mean is, i wish they updated the app to include infomation about what tv shows and movies are available in 4k and hdr so when ur out and about u can download them to your sky q box via the app so they are ready for when u get home from work etc

Re: Sky HDR

@PBS83 Is that aimed at me specifically??I have had Sky Q since release, I am in contact with the Executive Team regularly as the advertised their help to me several years make when I asked about help regarding disabled remotes(I am severely disabled).

I have been waiting for HDR for many years and can't see a problem in me enquiring about release.I was directed to these forums for help by the team, but I shan't be using them again as I find your response both rude and patronising.
