Re: Sky HDR

@Zinc+alloy  Yes. Same here. No invite mail still! Registered in June. Re-registered a couple of weeks ago but nothing.

@Kei+M said yet again a couple of weeks ago that this would be sorted out, not to call the help desk and be patient.

You have to wonder HOW patient we are expected to be...

Re: Sky HDR

Not sure whats worse not getting the mail or actually getting the mail and waiting for sky / dpd to speak to me about delivery. Got the congratulations bit must haven't heard anything for 2 weeks now. Only good thing is that there isn't much on HDR at mo. If it was on sports / movies I would be kicking off more

Re: Sky HDR

Still waiting for the golden e-mail. Tried several re-registerings and customer

services as well as website but nothing seems to work.

Re: Sky HDR

I struggle to understand why people find it so hard to call Sky and say "I'd like to take up the HDR box upgrade please to change my v1 box to a v3 box."

So many posts about not getting mails. Just call them and sort it yourselves!!

Re: Sky HDR

Still waiting also.

At this point it's clear that there is either an issue with the registration process, an issue with stock availability for the upgraded boxes or an issue with the process for converting registrations into  upgrade offers.It would be very helpful if a Sky employee (such as @Kei+M ) could give an update on which it is, what's being done to sort it and  to provide some answers to some simple questions;

  • Has my interest in an upgrade been properly registered? A phone number or email to contact to get confirmation  shouldn't be too much to ask
  • Does re-registering put you the back of the queue?
  • How long is the process likely to take to contact those of us who've registered (if indeed we've done so successfully!)

Re: Sky HDR

@Rhonny  we've tried that. No Sky opeartor has access to 2TB (V1) to 2TB (V2 or  V3) upgrade option on their system nor do the sales people in the retail outlets.

Re: Sky HDR

I posted earlier in the thread that I heard nothing after registering for months so I called Sky.

I was told that the email address they had on record was different from the one I gave them.  I did ask how this could be when I still receive promotional emails about content and offers etc.  I couldn't get an answer.

Suffice to say, my upgrade request was handled there and then by the agent and I received a V3 box 2 days later.

Re: Sky HDR

Lies Lies and more Lies from Sky tv to their customers again. Their silence is now embarrassing as we await another lie about how this will be fixed VERY SOON

Re: Sky HDR

After months of waiting I have received my new box within 24 hrs.

On the 6th I got a call from Sky asking to confirm I wanted the new box etc.

I said yes and was told it would be dispatched.

The £50 debit  and "order in progress" showed up on my account.

Gave a delivery date of 7th but no time slot so I assumed it would be

later in the day but was woken at 08:30 on 7th by the DPD man box in hand.

There followed a frantic disconnection of old box but could not get all old leads off but DPD

man took old box without leads and remote. I've used old leads and new

remote and I did remember the card!  I'll return stuff if asked.

Now set up and running OK.

Re: Sky HDR

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Shimceltic1  That is a yes but, it will be HDR once the latest software update is completed, next 3 to 4 weeks, some have it already
