Sky Go feature removed?
Previously I used to be able to manage the recordings on my Sky Q box via the Sky Go app. I found this feature very useful. The facility no longer seems to be available through the latest version of Sky Go. Has it been withdrawn? I do not remember any notification of this and can find nothing on the Sky website.

Re: Sky Go feature removed?
The feature hasn't been removed so if you can not see your recordings at all via the app then for some reason the app is not connecting to the box so try a reboot of your Sky Q box.

Re: Sky Go feature removed?
Hi
If I go into TV Guide and ask to record a programme it accepts this and programmes my Sky Q box accordingly so it must be communicating with it. However the option 'Recordings' no longer appears on the Sky Go app on my devices so I am unable to manage them further.

The fact you can set a recording doesn't come into this, if you can no longer see the recordings then try a box reboot as suggested.

No: that's a remote Recording request that can happen from anywhere - when away from home it arrives over the satellite link
However the option 'Recordings' no longer appears on the Sky Go app on my devices so I am unable to manage them further.
That's typically because the Go devices aren't discovering the main Q box over the local network: one cause of this can be inadvertent network segmentation through using a WiFi booster or mesh system.

Re: Sky Go feature removed?
Hi
I rebooted the Main Sky Q box and also my Apple devices. The 'Recordings' option is still not displayed. My Sky Q box is connected to the router via Ethernet.

How are the Go devices connecting though? That's the key bit.

Re: Sky Go feature removed?
HI
Both my iPhone and iPad connect via wi-fi, both have the IOS 14.8.
To try an alternative I downloaded Sky Go to my Windows 10 laptop connected via an Ethernet cable to the router. This just gave me the following message: 'We're having problems connecting you. Please try again (001).' No amount of retries will resolve this.
I went into Settings and checked my network which had no issues with all devices visible. I temporarily turned off the Firewall to see if that helped but still had the same error message.
I rebooted the laptop and this now allowed me to log in and connect to the Sky box. I unplugged the Ethernet cable and connected via wi-fi but Sky Go was unable to find the Sky Q box.
I am starting to think life is too short to use Sky Go!

Re: Sky Go feature removed?
Hello again
After a period of cooling off in the afternoon sunshine I opened the laptop again and tried the Sky Go app. This time it connected via wi-fi to the Sky Q box. Perhaps it just did not like the Ethernet cable being unplugged last time. The Sky Go app is very slow though and this is on a new laptop.
Still no joy with the Apple devices though.
