Sky Frosted Glass

I have been a loyal Sky customer for 19 years and decided to upgrade to Sky Glass!

I was wrong! Not an upgrade a downgrade from the point of connectivity and interaction with Sky advisors. Sky Glass Sales need to learn about the functionallity and connectivity of the set.

No headphone co nnection, wired or wireless! Bluetooth only for Remote Control connection! No Toslink I/O!

I have an Android TV which cost £20, works perfectly, accesses TV and Radio channels, has phono Connectors, Headphone Jack, Toslink, USB, HDMI and SD card slot.

SKY Glass set costs £814. Seriously thinking of using the cook off period to return the set.

It really does pay to do some independent research when it comes to technology. There are many posts on this forum about the subject and what adaptors etc you can use should you feel so inclined.

Sky do have the technical specs listed on their website:  https://www.sky.com/glass/technical-specifications?irct=glassHome-glass-techSpecs

Including:

Connectivity

    3x HDMI 2.1
    eARC and CEC supported

  • USB C

    1 (for power only – up to 15 W)

  • Bluetooth

    For remote control only

  • AC Port

    230 V

Re: Sky Frosted Glass

People need to stop thinking of Glass as an upgrade to Q. Just because it's newer doesn't mean it's automatically an upgrade. It's s different offering that's really meant for people who can't have Q installed or have signal issues with Q.
