Re: Recording BT Sport on Sky
Does anyone out there happen to have themselves Sky Sport AND BT Sport via a Sky subscription? If so can you tell me if you can schedule a recording of BT sport without any problems?

@Mark39 Thanks I had spotted that but as I mentioned in one of my earlier posts I wonder if Sky treats BT sport the same as the Sky Go app?
No. It's not an app, it's a broadcast channel just as any other channel is. You can see BT Sport now in your Sky box's TV Guide. You just won't be able to watch it or record it until you subscribe.
Sky+ boxes can't run apps.
Just to add, I've subscribed to BT Sport in the past albeit via BT not Sky, and there was no problem recording. A subscription via Sky isn't any different, except you pay Sky not BT.

Re: Recording BT Sport on Sky
Not at home? No problem. Download the Sky Go app and download or record shows straight from your phone or tablet to your Sky Q box*.
*Sky Multiscreen is required for this feature.

Re: Recording BT Sport on Sky
That is a bit misleading as I think it is saying that you can download shows that you have on a Sky Q box while at home to the app to watch when you are not at home and if so you do need a multiscreen sub.

@caesarome @Mark39 @LGUser @nolte @GD1
Thanks everyone. Having contacted Sky by email for the umpteenth time, I have eventually received back an email (not telephone calls as previous) with a definitive positive answer, contrary to all their earlier verbal negatives, as follows:
Thank you for your email.
Yes you will be able to record and series link programmes on BT Sport
You can record Red Button content as long as you access the Red Button first then press the record button. You can find more information regarding BT Sport on Sky here:https://www.sky.com/help/articles/bt-sport-guide
Have a great day.
Kind Regards,

So I will now be getting a monthly BT Sports subscription via Sky and look forward to having a good nights sleep whilst recording the Ashes overnight to relax(hopefully) to watch it during the day. Hope it has been worth the effort.
End of discussion

@Cricket+Nut Will be doing the same as you and getting two months BTSp through Sky, recording overnight and watching next day (ensuring I don't watch any news or view news/sports websites)
Let's hope we do better than last time down under and put up a good fight 🙂

Re: Recording BT Sport on Sky
@Doc5907 This is my first time of getting BT Sport but very importantly I have just found out that I am unable to pre order the start date of my subscription i.e. 7th Dec . I have to contact them (on line or phone) on that date. We need to be a lot better than before to get anything from this tour and being a Yorkshire man I am concerned that our main man Root may not continue his great form out there. He has yet to record a ton on an Ashes tour! Stokes presence is key to success. Enjoy. p.s. our normal radio and TV watching will be restricted if not totally banned!
