Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

For me I have not decided  not to really use the playlist at all,

I know the things I want to see,  it's to hit and miss for me,

One of my main gripes with it I have stuff I cannot get rid off.

it's meant to my playlist and I cannot iragnise or remove some items...

So I've Playlisted next weekend's F1 practice 1 in UHD and now in my playlist, in this order is:

Belgian Grand Prix: on the grid.

United States Grand Prix: 2nd practice.

Turkish Grand Prix: 1st practice.

Belgian Grand Prix: qualifying.

Russian Grand Prix: chequered flag.

Dutch Grand Prix: race.

Turkish Grand Prix: 3rd practice.

Belgian Grand Prix: race.

Italian Grand Prix: on the grid.

United States Grand Prix: race.

Russian Grand Prix: 1st practice.

All in HD.

What a mess! I'm now going to suggest something so radical that clearly no Sky designer has yet thought of it:

'Sort by Event Date!' I'm not even going to copyright that idea, you can have it.

There's no mention of next week's GP in UHD so I'm not confident it's going to work.

@AJM1972 That is very random indeed. Let us know how you get on with the Mexican GP weekend and if it 'records' all sessions in UHF.

Edit: UHD even. UHF wouldn't be very good 🙂

I'm pessimistic. Just been on the phone to Sky about the flickering issue and we were discussing the F1. All the rep would say is that it will be available in 'the best possible quality' after the race. She wouldn't use the term UHD.

Best possible quality might be peeping through your neighbors window to see them watching it at this rate!

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

Thanks for the video links great help . Anyone know if you can have different play lists for different people like you do on Netflix it's good for family's so you can save kid's stuff for kids stuff and the wife stuff for her and my stuff for me so we all can find stuff we want to watch easily  without going through 99  bits you don't want to see etc thanks

No you cannot.
There is no ability to set different profiles for members of your family and from what Sky have said it looks like that is not in any of their current plans.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

Thanks for info. Another disappointment by the sound of it . Is sky going back not forward  like No providing the WiFi booster with the new punks like they do with sky q mini box's 🤔🤨 . I'm hearing lots of negatives not many positives on new sky glass that is actually useful that works or saves you much time ! Wondering if should stay with q 🧐🤨 ? !

In my opinion, yes, stay with Sky Q.  If you can receive recordable broadcast satellite TV, why would you give that up?

It is a different situation with Q it is  often that the Q mesh which is Sky's needs a boost. With glass it is dependent on the strength of your own Wifi system and will work with most 3rd party boosters or mesh assuming set correctly.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

Hi John, not sure if I am missing something.  When we first installed our Glass and one puck, we had a playlist option on both devices. Yesterday morning we turned the puck on and it said we didn't have a subscription, so couldn't watch anything   We rebooted the puck when we got home, but the playlist option on the puck was no longer available, any ideas why?

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

@2Collies  I had two do this.  One just needed a restart, the other I had to do a factory reset and reactivate it.  Worked fine since.

Just a bit buggy at the moment, like the Q minis were initially, but it'll settle down, after a few updates.  Sky are carefully monitoring the forum so I have no doubt these issues are being worked on.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

I'm afraid this has been happening for a while it happens on our q too I've complaint multiple time I they done few bits on the phone about 2 hours and it's not fixed on q 😡 so was hoping this would be fixed and not happening on glass 🤨🧐🤔  . This didn't happen on our old + box and the times we look at a series and there is 2-4 of the same episode but then the next episode will be missing 😡🤔🤨  please sort this out sky

The recording of the wrong episodes is down to the EPG data from the channel in question.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

@LGUser We don't know how this is bring done in Glass, however the missing episode for Hollyoaks for example on both the Glass playlist and the Glass All4 app when they are there in All4 on my iPhone indicates Glass is getting data differently than from C4 rather than from the way they deliver it to their mobile apps.
