Playing Film4 programme from playlist

Hello

I have sky glass and mostly love it but I added a film from film4 to my playlist and when I go to play it I am asked to set up a Disney+ sunscription!

Anyone know if there is anyway round this?

@247cazza  This is the bane of many peoples lives with Glass.

It's likely that FilmFour don't own the streaming rights to the programme hence the redirection to Disney+.

For many people they don't understand this concept and why would they as when using Q everything was recorded locally to watch at any time, however Glass doesn't record essentially (although for certain things it's not strictly true, but for the purposes of this no recording has happened), it links you off to a service that has the streaming rights to thefilm you want to watch.

It's a right pain as often you have no idea who awons the stream rights.

It's a big weakness in the way Glass operates for many people.

Thank you, I thought it would be something like that, overall I'm very happy with it.  Living in a first floor flat in a conservation area it's my only option for sky

@247cazza  What would be helpful, as I've argued for before, that that the broadcaster provide the information as to whether they hold the streaming information in the programme metadata they provide to Sky.  If they did, then based on the information provided, the Sky Glass guide could advise that the broadcaster didn't have the streaming rights and could warn the viewer in advance that they couldn't "record" to watch after the event, and even beforehand could then lead you off to the app that could.

Streaming rights are a pain, however if you know beforehand that what you want top watch can't be added to the playlist, at least you are warned in advance that you'll either have to watch it realtime, or subscribe to a different service to watch the content.
