Sky keep saying that Paramount+ is free for Sky Cinema subscribers, however from what I've been reading it looks like this is only true if you have Sky Q or Sky Glass. It's a bit naughty that they keep saying the same line about it being free for Cinema subscribers if those with Sky+HD (and Sky Cinema) don't actually get the full Paramount+ service.
I am sure it will be available for free to SKy + users who have a SKY Cinema subscription
I signed up through SKY Q & it took me through a page to add it on as an add on subscription at £0 so I suspect that will be available via online account or My SKY - however the sign up process from there on will no doubt be different to ensure that Paramount + recognises that you have it through SKY
Maybe there will be some instructions for how to sign up issued when it is officially lauched later today

Strangely - nothing seems to be in UHD/HDR - despite content being available in the US in both.
is this a perculiarity to the Sky Q App?
No LG TV app to compare for me...
They said HD and 5.1 for now and 4K is in their future plans how ever long that will take. Although there was really no excuse today to launch today without 4K HDR.
Well, that's retrograde!
Reading the Paramount+ help - HDR/4k is available on:
Select Roku models:
FireTV Sticks/Cubes
AppleTV
Dolby Atmos is on Apple TV and iPhone/iPad.
Given Sky developed the app with Paramont+ for the SkyQ - a platform that supports HDR/4k - and the Sky Glass - it's insufferable that they have opted to not bother with either!!
It's 2022 for goodness sakes, launching a brand new streaming service for £6.99 (or free with Sky Cinema) without either is insane. Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime, AppleTV - all support it as part of their subscription (in most cases, for the same price).
In fact, the streaming quality is pretty ropey from what I have seen, and I have a 1gig connection with wired network to the router, so it's not network congestion.
Well done Sky/Paramount!
Heck, Star Trek: Discovery was in 4k/HDR on Netflix!

I don't use a voice remote control (old school!) but went my My Sky on the TV (following the instructions on Sky's video) but there's no Paramount + app showing in upgrades. Any ideas please?

Just follow the on screen instructions, you have to create a Paramount+ account even if you are getting it free with Sky Cinema.

As I said in a post back in April, Paramount+ UK was always going to be "distinctly underwhelming".
All their big launch titles, as promoted by both them and Sky in their press release from earlier today, are available in the US in 4K with Dolby Vision.
Halo, The First Lady, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, The Man Who Fell To Earth, Mayor of Kingstown all look great streamed via VPN from the USA on my Apple TV 4K box...
It's an OK service to dip in and out of, but I certainly wouldn't be happy paying £6.99 a month for HD & 5.1. As a freebie with Sky Cinema subscribers it's fine, a sacrifice of quality for convenience is standard Sky practice.
However, there's no excuse for Paramount UK to not to offer fully paying subscribers the full 4K streams. It'll no doubt be offered for an additional fee further down the line...

Yes That is how I have been launching it from yesterday evening and this morning.
Just saying 'Paramount Plus' into your Sky voice remote on your main or mini box.
It has been very reliable for me. Have used it quite a lot so far.
Maybe worth powering down your main box and leaving off power for a few minutes before starting up again.
The app will appear within the app section over the course of the morning today.
It is slowly appearing for some, but has not on any of my boxes yet.

Thank you for that.
yup guess it's just a wait and see. At work now so hopefully will be sorted when get home. It finally did load as said could see progs etc when clicked on.. just the waiting circle thing going round and round as if loading. But never loaded

I don't seem to be able to turn subtitles on Paramount +. When I use voice control does not recognise it. Can anybody help please?
Under settings on my Paramout + account there is nothing.
