New LG TV, sky store screen is not centred

Got a new LG TV, downloaded the sky store app, when I play anything on the app the screen is all off to the right, there is a big black line down the left hand side of the screen. Tried adjusting screen aspect ratio outside of the app as its not an option when the app is on. But to no avail. Its really annoying as I spent 25 euro on a box set which I cannot watch

on your LG in your picture settings  / aspect ratio section - do you have a "Just Scan" setting. Have you tried that both on and off ?

Yes I've tried it both on and off but still the same. Black line down left of screen

I know this isn't an ideal solution @Ralph1984 but I'm assuming you have Sky TV. If the movie is a buy and keep movie - you can send it to your Sky box and view it that way 

If it's a rental then if you have a PC or laptop with an HDMI output you can plug that in to your TV and watch through that device on to your TV

No I'm not a  sky TV customer and no this is not ideal. I paid for a service on my smart TV which your app is supposed to work properly with yet it doesn't. Telling someone to connect a laptop via a hdmi cable is not a solution and from reading through this discussion board, apparently this issue has been going on since last year with customers yet it still hasn't been resolved...

on here we are all customers like you trying to help other customers 

if you want to take it up with Sky - best way is to give them a call.

Edit: I've just looked on my Skystore app on my 2020 LG. It's watchable but I agree it's as if the movie is playing in a window

The forum you're on is a sort of "exchange views and ideas " type of forum for customers 

a few Sky employees do appear from time to time but you can tell who they are because they're user name usually shows "sky employee" 

on my LG the movie shows on about 80% of the screen. It's like the screen ratio has been set wrongly on our TVs - but it hasn't 🤔

Because I'm a Sky TV customer I use my Sky box 99% of the time so the LG store app being odd hadn't caused me a problem 

I wonder if there is anything on the LG forum ? 

I'll search around and if I find any better ideas I'll get back to you

I've been told that Sky have been able to replicate this issue and that LG aim to resolve this in a firmware update
