My iPhone says sim not supported

Hi just put in my new sky sim into my iPhone comes up sim not supported 

my phone was unlocked when I bought it and just put my old phone providers sim in and worked fine just signed up to,a sim only with sky and insert and activate the sim which sky has sent to my email all is done new temporary number given and my exsting number will be on line in two days so how do I get the phone to regonise the new SIM card 

any help would be great

I would suggest the phone is not actually unlocked.

It might have locked to the previous supplier if their sim still works so you would need to speak to them about getting it unlocked, or perhaps check via their website to see if it is possible and how and what you need to do to get it unlocked.

the iPhone I bought was a unlocked phone I had a sim only deal with another network

i just put there sim in the iPhone all worked fine 

just tonight put the new sim from sky in the iPhone and I get sim not supported 

I had the pac number from my previous network all the emails from sky were all,good all set up except the iPhone does not support the new sim 

not sure what to do
