Lip sync issue

I have a pair of KEF lsx speakers that I attempted to connect to my projector but there was a lip sync issue caused. I tried to resolve this using the lip sync function on sky q but it didn't work as that function shifts the audio the wrong way- unless somebody can suggest otherwise. I have since bought an optical cable to connect sky q box directly to the input on the speakers. The speakers suggest they have picked up this input but no sound from sky box. Is there a means of forcing this selection in sky when I have hdmi input going to the projector. I have tried the optical out option in the menu. Thanks

@Beanscene check the audio type selected in Settings/Set up/Audio Visual  first if the HDMI output is set to Dolby Digital Plus there is no sound output over the optical output so select Dolby Digital or Normal on the HDMI output.  If there is still no sound over the optical output then toggle the setting for that output between Dolby Digital and Normal.

Your issue in routing via the TV is the time your tv is taking to decode the HDMI audio inout and then reencode for the output overvthe ARC output is longer than the time taken for the video to be processed onto the screen. The signal from the Q box is in sync and while you can add a delay to the audio you cannot add a delay to the video.

Re: Lip sync issue

Hi Chrisee,

thanks for this. Do you think my optical cable solution is the best fix? Do you think this will sort it?
