Honestly I'll just leave sky. The customer service with BT is on point and skys is horrendous. Charging £50+ a month for awful service id rather go elsewhere. I've tried to get the issue fixed but instead of looking into it they blame a different company/provider... who have already been out and checked my lines and equipment. The issue lies with sky and the customer service aren't interested so I will be cancelling. I shouldn't have to change internet providers when it's not an internet issue its the sky boxes won't

@sincosav what bt router do you have ?  have you set smart setup (or whatever it's called) to off have you moved the 5.00Ghz band on your BT router to the highest channel it can go to as the Q boxes use channel 36 as default

You can also try  changing the mesh channel in the engineers menu

To enter the engineers menu do the follow
press the home button then scroll down to setting and hi-light
do not press select/enter but press 001 then select this takes you into the engineers menu

scroll to network > 5Ghz channel width and change it to 40Mhz/ch.44

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

Sky Broadband Hub/SR203, Sky Ultrafast broadband
Ultimate on Demand, Q Experience/UHD, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema
LG 49SJ 810 V UHD TV, Google Pixel 7 Pro mobile

I struggled with this crud for years.

Of course, it's not BT's fault, it's some nonsense freakery in the Q networking stack.

A combination of things seems to have stabilised it for me - though it did it again yesterday for the first time in weeks. Luckily I now know how to use the number keypad to enter password characters instead of scrolling painfully through that long vertical banner. Nothing changed, it just stopped working. Once I had re-entered the passcode, it still didn't work. I waited an hour, during which nothing also changed, and it spontaneously started working.

Anyway;

1. New Sky firmware but that was from 140 onwards so you must already have that.

2. Not using wifi for minis, using ethernet over powerlines instead.

3. Turning off all wifi on the minis

4. Turning off 5GHz wifi on the Q (it uses 2.4 to get to the internet)

5. Checking for any conflicting nearby channels on 2.4 and changing BT mesh channel if necessary (I did not have to, neighbours are far enough away)

6. Getting a new Q box when the 1year old HDR one started fannage & locking up (which took two attempts as the first replacement was even worse, failing to come back to life after its 2am reboot every night)

Following that simple procedure, mine is now pretty damn solid. Finally.
