Charging me £64 for changing if to another provider for my broadband
is this punishment I'm supposed to be a VIPcustomer

Yes, providers who use the Openreach infrastructure like Sky and Vodafone will arrange cancellation of your old service when you switch to them. You would need to speak to Vodafone, however about possible reimbursement for your termination charges with Sky. That can't happen automatically.

All Sky customers now have VIP on their accounts so this counts for nothing if monies are owed.

Thanks for all the answers, been phoning back and forward between sky and Vodaphone as V said Sky should pay this as they had given me wrong advice, V refused blaming Sky, bottom line is yesterday a very helpful Sky advisor spoke to various people and as I was VIP for 19 years they wavered the £64 so just saying don't give up @GD1
