Oh lord, I was going to do that today, I guess I am not now!!
Sky really need to step up to the plate on this and fix the issues asap.

This is one of the major flaws with Stream in that the system other than cloud content relies so heavily on third party providers getting their act together in providing up to date data flow with Sky.
This amongst other reasons is why I finally moved away from stream itvx has been abysmal from day one and often because of series and episode numbering other providers content fails to load correctly.
It's just frustrating when all you want is to sit relax and watch some TV.
If only Sky and third party providers could get their act together then stream would be great, but sadly....
Itvx often closes on firestick too, so it isnt just Sky. Never had a problemon Apple it is flawless and very good quality.

I agree with @Fothergill1 that the problems which people are experiencing with itvX crashing at advert positions has coincided with a vast improvement made to the app for itvX Premium customers.
I have been a Stream user since October and occasional itvX watcher. I subscribed to itvX Premium because I got absolutely fed up trying (often unsuccessfully) to fast forward through the adverts on catch-up tv.
A premium customer doesn't see any adverts and it has always worked seamlessly with the app on my tv, Firestick, Nvidia Shield and Apple TV boxes. However, on the Stream puck, although you didn't have to suffer the ads, there was a gap of about 13 seconds with the wonderfully exciting spinning wheel, where the ads would be.
About a week ago this long pause was reduced to about 6 seconds and finally, later in the week, the pause disappeared completely. itvX is now working perfectly for me with a seamless transition from the end of one part of a program to the beginning of the next part. I haven't experienced any crashing.
It would seem that the work done to improve the experience of iTV Premium subscribers may be responsible for the current issue.

This is happening to me too! It is not just ITVX though! I got told while trying to watch All4 that I needed to upgrade my subscription! Wish I had kept Sky Q!

Me too, but not just ITVx - all channels. Spoke to Sky who told me to turn it on and off (like being at work when the computer doesn't want to work!). Done that and was cut off the call!!!

Yes, I have had the same message on All4 too, but 40 minutes later, I could watch the same program with no issues so I put it down to an upload issue with the program itself.
Maybe this was not the case?

I regularly have to do a 'master reset' on my Sky Glass i.e. unplug it, count to 10 and plug it back in again, just to reset it past an issue or two, usually associated with playback.
Also it runs on randomly, sometimes with no one in the room and I have to leave my DVD player unplugged from the HDMI lead as it turns on with the Sky Glass switch on and no one can tell me how to stop this!!

It also does not work on fire stick it [content removed] keeps resetting just before the ads also keeps going back to the beginning of the show so have to keep running it forward

Driving us round the bend....only want to watch Grace....please sky, appreciate its a ITV X issue, but surely you can influence....

Premium works well regards adverts but wow it was slow to load.
Also Hell's Kitchen season 21 has already broadcast 2 episodes neither are available on Sky, they are on the app oh and Apple.
The data comms between itv and Sky need to improve. I'm guessing itv are at fault here.

Following on from all the posts about the very poor ITVX app, the addition of having to use a PIN every time I access the app, then needing the PIN when accessing a programme, such as Corrie. To add insult to injury, as many have reported, it stops suddenly & returns to the App. The whole process has to be restarted with the PIN, then I can't skip the adverts & back to the app.
Can ITV be contacted to see if there is a way to resolve these issues?

@JenQ I got the QS016 update last night and was hoping that it would resolve the ITVX problem where it crashes just before the adverts. I have just finished watching Grace (S3E1) on ITVX Basic and unfortunately it is just as bad as before the update.

We have been watching The Bay on itvX. Every yime it gets past the first lot of adverts OK, but freezes just before the start of the remaining adverts. I have had to save is in + MyList on the left so I can quickly restart it again. Luckely it starts where it left off and then the advert starts shortly after.

Let's face it, ITV+ and ITVX have both been problems on Sky Glass since I first had it.
Nothing they do seems to fix it and if it is a Sky problem or an ITV problem, I really have no idea, but whatever it is, the two of them need to get together and work out a fix for it asap.
