How to Stop playing recording back

Hi - maybe silly question but how do you stop playing a recorded video & go back to normal tv as i found the recording was still running

Pressing the back/dismiss button (3 sided box with arrow pointing left) exits from the recording.

You should note that if you are recording a programme then watching the channel for even a brief time will set the 'last viewed' point to the time you watched the lve channel
